Stephen Sanderson Transport invests in Utordo order management solution

To optimize the efficiency of the online fulfillment services it provides to its growing portfolio of e-commerce customers, Stephen Sanderson Transport has implemented Utordo multi-channel order management technology.

The company was looking for a solution that could integrate with its existing Microlistics warehouse management system (WMS) at its 100,000 square foot distribution center in the Midlands with the functionality to provide rapid order fulfillment capacity and precise.

Without reconfiguring Stephen Sanderson’s existing WMS, the cloud-hosted Utordo middleware connects the company’s warehouse management system to a customer’s trading platforms and instantly exports all relevant data relating to each order in line to the WMS using secure flat files, XML or API formats so that stock levels and orders are synchronized in real time.

Compatible with all well-known WMS brands, Utordo can be deployed quickly thanks to its preconfigured connections and, moreover, thanks to its cloud hosting, all software installation procedures and regular updates are carried out remotely.

Stephen Sanderson Transport Commercial Director Ed Sanderson comments, “The success of our business depends on the storage and delivery of palletized loads, so we have had to adapt some of our work practices to meet the growing demand for freight forwarding services. online order processing.

“Utordo is a simple package that has allowed us to integrate our WMS Microlistics into our e-commerce customers’ online stores as well as any other internet marketplace they trade in, such as ebay and Amazon.

Stephen Sanderson was able to minimize his upfront costs by acquiring Utordo on a SaaS (Software as a Service) package which, in effect, the Utordo software for rent for a pre-set monthly rate.

Ed Sanderson adds, “Utordo provided the functionality our WMS needed to provide ultra-reliable e-commerce order fulfillment capability and, because we leveraged Utordo’s Software as a Service option, the return on investment was immediate.
