Motus Commercials celebrates the opening of its new dealership in Avonmouth

Motus Commercials hosted an open house to celebrate the opening of its new 5.2 acre site in Avonmouth.

The ribbon cutting was followed by an open house attended by customers, suppliers and employees of Motus and DAF to mark the occasion, benefiting from presentations by Matthew Lawrenson, Laurence Drake, Lord-Lieutenant Peaches Golding and Phil Moon and give customers an exclusive preview of the new Generation DAF XG +.

The new site, which replaces the existing site at Days Road, Bristol, is considerably larger and includes a 515 m2 parts center, a total of 22 workstations, including ATF and ADR operator stations, as well as ‘a PDI center for new and used vehicles. .

The Avonmouth site is also home to a large supply of spare parts through the all-make TRP line of trucks, trailers and vans, with parts delivery service from the Avonmouth hub in the region.

Daniel Fitzjohn, Regional Director for the South West and West Midlands regions, said: “Thanks to the success of the DAF brand and that of our staff, we had moved beyond our previous location and it was time to relocate. . The new site is strategically located in the industrial area of ​​Avonmouth and only a few miles from the main M5, M4 and M48 motorway links next to the Severn junction.

Fitzjohn continued, “We understand the importance of location and level of service to truck operators, and this new site allows us to do just that, with the space and extended hours of operation that the depot will offer. To further support our customers, we have decided to extend our hours of operation even further, with the depot open for service from 6:00 a.m. on Monday and running continuously until Saturday evening at 6:00 p.m., ensuring that we can respond. to the demands of each utility vehicle. operator.”
