Knowles Transport takes it to the next level with biggest single vehicle order on record
Logistics specialist Knowles Transport has further supplemented its growing fleet following the recent purchase of 50 Volvo FH460 Turbo Compound vehicles – the largest order in the company’s history.
This substantial investment was made by Knowles to support their continued expansion.
The vehicles will add to Knowles’ growing fleet and have been ordered in response to increased demand for their services as well as part of their fleet replacement program.
33 of Knowles’ 50 new Volvo vehicles will serve as replacement vehicles and the additional 17 will be used to increase growth.
The new vehicles feature Volvo’s ‘I-Save’ technology, which incorporates Volvo’s turbo compound engine with the latest package of fuel savings, combined with industry-leading fuel efficiency and reduced emissions.
The company’s new livery which was recently unveiled on its new trailer fleet will also be featured on all new trucks.
Knowles’ most recent order closely follows its purchase of 26 vehicles and 85 trailers representing a substantial investment and were also purchased to help the company ease the increase in demand.
All vehicles ordered will be fitted with front and side facing cameras for added security.
Knowles has a five year replacement policy and all of its vehicles have been purchased alongside a 5 year full repair and maintenance contract where they will be serviced by Volvo Truck and Bus, Ely.
