A crash closes the Snoqualmie pass in both directions
UPDATE (4:15) – Private John Bryant says I-90 should be fully open around 4:30 a.m.
SEATTLE – Drivers crossing the Snoqualmie Pass could be stuck in traffic for a period of time.
The Washington Department of Transportation said I-90 over the pass is closed in both directions from North Bend to Easton. Washington State Patrol Soldiers say a semi-trailer hit a concrete barrier in Jersey, rolled it over and pushed it into the eastbound lanes. This caused three other cars to crash into the barrier and against each other.
The soldiers say there are minor injuries.
The Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office said the estimated reopening time was midnight.
According to WSDOT cameras at 3:38 a.m., traffic on I-90 westbound in Easton is still blocked.
