How I Wrote My Book In 3 Hours With A Microphone

Video auto runs and is an 8 minute tutorial!
(Yes, I know there are typos in the video text, no need to comment on that,
why I used a transcription service for the book!)

Resources to write your book with a microphone!

You need this USB microphone and training and it is on sale! CLICK HERE

Step 1. Buy “The Book On Your Niche or Expertise” domain name CLICK HERE

Step 2.  Email yourself your chapters – 12-15 chapters

Step 3. Record about 10 to 15 minutes of real information about each chapter
2 hours of normal speech is 70-80 pages. Book does not need to be longer if good content.

Step 4. Get transcribed from Cynrje Transcription

Step 5.  Add pictures to your Word Doc and convert to PDF here
The MS Office Word PDF plugin would not work for me in CreateSpace.com but PDF Online did.
If anybody gets Word PDF converter to work, let me know.

Step 6. Create account, design cover and upload PDF file to Create Space.com

Step 7. Order proofs, use your book to generate leads, give to CEOs, sell with offers, bonuses, and sell as audio CD, Ebook and Printed book from your book title domain sales website.

  • Ray Stendall:

Very nice job Mike! I love it

  • Oh my gosh – I already have my domain and CreateSpace account – just while I was listening to you!

Thanks for the inspiration. I know how you HATE to write. And I know that with my wonderful microphone and Sound Forge and inspiration from you that I can do it too.

    Thanks!!

  • Hey Mike,

Great video! I am currently on chapter six of your book and you have done an amazing job. Especially with the abundance of content!

I especially liked Chapter #2 “Everyone Has an Info Product in Them” because this is very true.

I hope you have a great time at Big Seminar!

    Regards,
    Philip J. Mutrie

  • Good info – informative and easy to follow. Just a tip: in Word 07, once your document is done, all you have to do is click on ‘Save As’ and choose PDF and you will have your PDF document. (If you don’t already have it, you can download it from the Office 07 website.)

  • mike:

I tried to upload the PDFs made with MS Word plugin, but for some reason those PDFs they were rejected by CreateSpace.com as not meeting their specifications. PDFOnline, kept dimensions, was quick and free.
Sorry, I forgot to mention that, but thanks for bringing to my attention.

  • Mike, this is AWESOME! Many people would love to know this technique for writing a book.

  • Mike, this is brilliant! Thanks for helping me break through on an idea for how to promote my website training course and my speaking. I love it!!

    Hugs,

    Toolie

  • Mike,

It’s one thing to know a lot, it’s another to make it simple and doable for others.
    That is your gift.

    Thanks,
    Susan Tracy

  • Mike,

Thank you so much for this information. For someone who speaks a lot, it’s easier for me, and it’s good practice to make audio instead of always writing.

If anything, I’m scared to do this because it seems too easy.

  • Bob:

    Mike,

Great value, and thanks as well for the free eBook.

One question? I’m Mac-based. I know i can use the same USB mic you recommend, but what software would you suggest? And will you some day sell a Mac package?

    Regards,
    Bob

  • mike:

USB mic works great on MAC, but I only support and teach PC software, just too confusing to be +
support of more than 1 software. You can run Audio Studio Windows MACs or use Garageband with USB mic.
You get mic without software at http://www.internetaudioguy.com Thanks. Mike

Don’t let fear paralyze you! It is as shown, just take the action and get past any fear, otherwise nothing gets done. Mike

  • Hi Mike,

    Great video!

From the information I have learnt from you since we first met at an event in 2005 I actually created an audio book earlier this year using Sony Sound Forge, the AT 2035 microphone and the Edirol UA-25.

(The AT 2020 was not available when I first purhcased my equipment otherwise I would have used that)

I had already created the E-book and had a hard copy book printed so this is not quite in the same order that you have shown in the video.

However, I thought your viewers might be interested in hearing a brief excerpt which consists of some royaly free music, myself reading from the book and my wife Janet doing the chapter introductions:

I also have a picture on my site with the microphone I used:

    Thanks

    Mike

  • Great video Mike, and thank you for the book.

I’ve got a couple of ebooks that I’ve written that I’ve wanted to convert to real books for quite some time. CreateSpace looks like a good on demand option.

    Thanks
    Aaron

  • Kevin Halloran:

    Mike, Mike, Mike!

What have you done? Dude, you just gave away one of the most treasured “secrets” of the most prolific authors on the planet!

Don’t you know that you are are “supposed to” sweat, labor and toil for days, weeks, months – maybe years to write a book! Dare I say decades even?

Dozens, maybe hundreds of re-writes, more than a few crocodile tears, a case or two of legal pads, scratched out, crumpled up in enough wads of paper to fill 10 trash bags…

All gone! Blown to bits like the fall leaves… simple dust in the wind…

Now, Anyone can quickly and easily “write” a book and get it published on Amazon in virtually no time at all! Without even typing or writing anything beyond a simple outline!

Good grief man, come to your senses soon before people actually realize what they could really do with this information and your equipment!

As a long-term student and purchaser of your top-notch equipment and courses, please stop giving away this kind of “national treasure information.” Really, I don’t want to have to beg…

  • Who would of thought, just open up your mouth and talk.

    So simple…

Thanks for all the great links.

    This is a cool tip!

Thank you for the fabulous ideas, Mike. Really appreciate all the information that you share. I’m pretty jazzed by this fashion of writing a book and have already purchased a domain name.

    Thank you,

  • Mike, you’re BRILLIANT!

  • Thank you Mike, I love the audio, you make it sound so easy… and the tips you gave are brilliant. Thanks for the ebook, I will certainly make use of the information.
